I learned to use Microsoft Word in the Introduction to Computers class and now I feel confident to work in an office environment where I need to compose professional documents.

INTRODUCTORY COMPUTER TRAINING

  

 

The Introductory Computer Training Program

is a general introduction to computers and word processing.  It might be useful to those who would like to enhance existing skills.

 

The focus

To enhance keyboarding skills and give participants a thorough introduction to Microsoft Word.  Also included are brief units on using the Internet (Internet Explorer) and Windows.

Training Includes:

1/2 hour of keyboarding practice each day
Basic Windows/desktop instruction
Basic to Intermediate word processing instruction (MSWord)
Introduction to and review of computer concepts and terminology
Introduction to the Internet

*If you are on Ontario Works, please ask your Case Worker for a referral to the program before calling to register.

Maximum 10 Students per program

Program start dates:

Sept. 06, 2011
Oct. 03, 2011
Nov. 07, 2011

*No Program in December.  Program starts the 1st Monday of each month

Tuition applies

Subsidies may be available.
