Our introduction to Delaware Speedway began when Dave Lawrence needed a sponsor for his son Jordan’s, Junior Division car.

Not only did Dave offer his support to ATN's LD Edge program for Jordan’s car, but assisted us further by sporting our LD Edge logo on his #28 Lucas Motor Oil, Street Stock Division car as well.  The LD Edge logo appeared on the #28 side windows in the 2005 and 2006 season.


Sadly, in June of 2006, Dave passed away in his sleep. Our sponsorship partnerships with racers from the speedway would never have been possible without the assistance that Dave provided to us.  For that, we will always remember the true “giving” man that Dave Lawrence was. 
 
In the true spirit of racing, Dave’s good friend Duane Manning got behind the wheel to finish the 2006 season and drove the #28 to place 2nd in the overall standings.  For the 2007 season, Duane will drive the #28 for the BT Racing Team and assist ATN in creating awareness of disabilities by displaying our logo on the car once again.

Duane was the 2006 recipient of the Harborne/Lawrence “Spirit of Racing” Award at the Delaware Speedway Annual Awards Banquet.
